Opportunity Blend, Again

The great fun of home roasting is what to do with those little bits of coffee left in the jar.  This was one of those mornings.  I had a less than a pot full of El Salvador Orange Bourbon, a minuscule amount of a Rwanda Kinunu Bourbon and a bit of Kenya Nyeri PB – Ruiruiru.  Normally, I’m a bit hesitant to mix same continent beans, but given the relatively brightness of a Kenya and the slightly heavier Rwanda, I thought the three would make a good mix.  The El Salvador was a great, balanced cup.  And wow!  The slightly cooled travel cup showed incredible sweetness and smoothness.  The citrus heights of the Kenya were muted, but the brightness was poking through just a bit, making it a nice cup.

Percentages: 50% El Salvador/45% Kenya/5% Rwanda.

The one I’ve known about for years is the three volume work called “A Body of Practical Divinity”. Contains volumes on the Lords Prayer, the 10 Commandments and Body of Divinity. But the one on Malachi is quite intriguing.
