Hey,
My name is John, and I’m a teenage Barista working for Starbucks.
I know that may not be the summit off coffee connoisseurship, but It’s the best place I could get a job at given my age and situation.
I’m passionate about coffee, whether espresso, French-pressed, drip or anything in between, and I’ve been inspired by blogs like yours to start my own. (www.thiscoffeekid.blogspot.com)
I was just wondering, how did you get your blog to become successful? Is there any advice you can give me on how to generate traffic/interest? And is there anything you can do for me in terms of helping my blog start off?

I’ve been blogging for almost 5 years, albeit intermittently. My traffic here is generated mostly via the homeroasting community.
Starbucks should be a great place to hone your skills. If you’re truly passionate about coffee, delve into fresh roasts. If you have an independent coffee shop around that roasts, try them. Grab the appropriate old popcorn popper and some greens and try it yourself. The learning curve that comes from taking green coffee to the cup is astounding. There’s only so much you can do with pre-roasted regarding controls. Going from green will heighten your appreciation and skill with coffee.
